Storyline

Terrorists hijack a civil airplane and force the pilot to set course for a sold-out football stadium. At last minute and against the orders of his commander, a German air force pilot shoots down the airplane before it crashes into the stadium. Saving the lives of tens of thousands of people but killing all passengers on board, he faces charges for his action in court. THE VERDICT is an interactive film that engaged the audience into the discussion. After the hearing of the air force pilot, the audience has to judge for themselves and choose an ending – guilty or not guilty – by voting on spot.

Storyline

Storyline

Ben and his brother have been best buddies for as long as he can remember. Although “Simple”, who is now 22, has stayed at the mental age of a three-year-old. Frederick Lau was born in Berlin in 1989 and has established himself in recent years as one of the most outstanding actors of his generation. He had his first lead in a feature film in Andreas Kleinert’s HEAD UNDER WATER (2007), followed by the major success with THE WAVE (2008). After a Bavarian Television Award for “Neue Vahr Süd” (2011), Lau’s talent was recognized with another German Film award for Sebastion Schipper’s VICTORIA (2015) which was shown as Opening Film of the Third Festival of German Cinema in China.

Storyline

Totila Blumen, a Holocaust researcher, has no sense of fun. This applies in a general sense and specifically when his colleagues try to turn an Auschwitz conference into a corporate-sponsored media event. Totila is irritated by the young French intern, Zazie as she follows Totila like a puppy and has a fling with her boss, the otherwise serious and measured academic becomes a nervous wreck. Zazie, however, appears to have an agenda of her own – and it’s closely related to Totila’s background and well-guarded family secret.
